Description
2pc 5/16” DOWEL JIG FOR SHUTTERS WITH RAILS OF (3/4″) AND STILE OF (1-1/16″)
For dowel joinery and especially shutters, the closest to 1/3 the stock thickness the better.
For our 3/4” rail stock a dowel of 3/8″, a common size, is good but our 5/16″ dowel jig is far better.
The minimum length of the dowel pins recommended is 1-1/2” which give 3/4” of the dowel pin into each joint.
Our custom “Shutter Dowel Kit” is easy to use, producing matching dowel pin locations for both rail and stile making a perfect joint.
“Created and developed with 100’s of usage from within a manufacturing environment.”

These jigs work as advertised and provide perfect spacing for the dowel holes. Make sure you tighten the small bolts and nuts that hold these together as they were semi loose when I got them and will give you out of square holes. Highly recommended!
